Dr Fitzpatrick is Vice President of Medical Affairs at Bioventus, incorporating responsibility for the Clinical Affairs, Medical Education and Professional Affairs teams. Jane brings over 35 years of clinical experience as a Specialist Sport and Exercise Physician, 15 years of consultancy with medical device companies including Bioventus (USA), Smith and Nephew (UK), Zimmer Biomet (USA), Novartis (Australia), OrthoCell (Australia) and recent roles at Bioventus as Medical Director International and Commercial lead of APAC.

Prior to joining Bioventus, Dr Fitzpatrick worked as a Sport and Exercise Physician combining surgical and clinical integration with Orthopedic Surgeons and Physiotherapists to provide care for patients with musculoskeletal problems. She developed teaching positions for sports registrars and orthopedic fellows and introduced point-of-care ultrasound guided procedures. Jane founded the Joint Health Institute to provide facilities, funding and integrated clinical research trials into the clinical setting and had advocacy roles at the Australian Consensus Framework advisory for the Asia Pacific Economic Commission (APEC) and the Australian Olympic Medical Commission.

Jane obtained her Medical Degree at the University of Melbourne, a PhD in Biological Management of Tendinopathy from the University of Western Australia and an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business. She became a specialist Fellow of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences.
