Bioventus Receives Award from Human Factors and Ergonomics Society<\/h1>\n

DURHAM, NC \u2013 December 15, 2014 \u2013 Bioventus, a global leader in orthobiologic solutions, today announced it received an award for its next generation EXOGEN\u00ae Ultrasound Bone Healing System at the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) International Annual Meeting on October 28 in Chicago.<\/p>\n

Recognized within the Product Design and Technical Group by HFES, Bioventus received the 2014 Stanley H. Caplan User-Centered Product Design Award for EXOGEN along with Design Concepts. Design Concepts is a product design consulting company that collaborated with Bioventus to design the next generation EXOGEN, a bone healing device that uses low intensity pulsed ultrasound waves to stimulate the body\u2019s natural bone healing process.<\/p>\n

\u201cBioventus launched the next generation of EXOGEN in July 2013 and patients are benefiting from its new treatment tracking features, compliance monitor and improved user experience,\u201d said Kelly Umstead, EXOGEN Product Manager, Bioventus. \u201cThese advancements and others were developed with Design Concepts after many comprehensive interviews with patients, health care providers and insurance representatives. The research and design process resulted in a great product that is helping many fracture patients. It is gratifying to be recognized for this work.\u201d<\/p>\n
