DURHAM, N.C. \u2013 February 14, 2014 \u2013 Bioventus, a leader in active orthopedic healing, today announced that Allison London Brown has joined the company as its new Vice President of Global Marketing. London Brown is based in the company\u2019s Durham headquarters and reports directly to Bioventus CEO Anthony Bihl.<\/p>\n
In the role, London Brown is responsible for developing global strategic marketing plans, including evaluating new market opportunities, and for management of the current product portfolio. She oversees the tactical implementation of U.S. and International marketing plans, including product positioning, product launch planning and sales support. She also provides leadership for business strategy, external communications, professional affairs and medical education.<\/p>\n
\u201cAllison comes to Bioventus with a wealth of experience \u2013 not only in marketing, but also as a former CEO and COO of healthcare organizations,\u201d Bihl said. \u201cShe is known for building brands and driving revenue in the medical device, technology and pharmaceutical industries. During London Brown\u2019s 17-year career, she has launched more than 80 new products, brands and services for leading global healthcare companies. She worked for 10 years at the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, two years at GE Healthcare and two years at Healthways Inc. Her most recent experience includes CEO of Aegis Women\u2019s Health Technologies, Chief Operating Officer\/Chief Commercial Officer at Stanley Healthcare Solutions (division of Stanley\/Black & Decker), and a Senior Advisor, Board Member and Co-Founder of various start-up companies.<\/p>\n
London Brown is also a published author, accomplished presenter and holder of five patents. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Auburn University, a Masters of Science from North Carolina State University and a Masters of Business Administration with Honors from Temple University.<\/p>\n
