Will Share Fracture Healing Experience with EXOGEN\u00ae<\/sup><\/h2>\n

HOOFDDORP, THE NETHERLANDS<\/strong> \u2013 April 20, 2016 \u2013<\/strong> Norwegian World Cup and Olympic skiing athlete Magnus Moan will be appearing at the Nordic Orthopaedic Federation Congress in Link\u00f6ping, Sweden on April 27 to share his experience using the EXOGEN\u00ae<\/sup> Ultrasound Bone Healing System<\/strong> from Bioventus<\/a>. \u00a0In the middle of an intense workout period in late 2014, Moan developed a stress fracture in his left heel. After being advised to either take an extended period of rest or undergo surgery to repair the fracture, he received a recommendation to use a low intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) treatment with EXOGEN<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

EXOGEN<\/strong>, which uses LIPUS to help stimulate fracture repair throughout the natural healing process,1 <\/sup>has an 86% heal rate for fractures not healing on their own,2 <\/sup>and offers 38% faster healing of fresh fractures.3,4<\/sup> In addition, 89% of patients with high-energy, fractures reported healing when treated with EXOGEN<\/strong>.5<\/sup> Using EXOGEN <\/strong>as part of his daily routine allowed Moan to accelerate his body\u2019s own healing process and continue his training.<\/p>\n

„To achieve good results, I need to be able to keep my focus,\u201d said Moan. \u201cWith the ultrasound treatment, I was able to keep all negative thoughts away and prepare myself for the World Cup in Falun a few months later. This season Moan is competing again in the World Cup and in an online video found here<\/a>, Moan shared how EXOGEN <\/strong>helped him return to form last season eventually earning a silver and a bronze medal at the 2015 World Cup in Falun, Sweden.<\/p>\n
