Er hat eine Ausbildung in Chemieingenieur- und Finanzwesen und verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber mehr als 30 Jahre Managementerfahrung in den Bereichen operatives Gesch\u00e4ft, Marketing, Finanzen und Risikokapital.<\/p>\n<p>1984 gr\u00fcndete und leitete er The Woodlands Venture Capital Company, eine hundertprozentige Tochtergesellschaft der Mitchell Energy &amp; Development Corporation, und 1988 gr\u00fcndete er The Woodlands Venture Partners, eine unabh\u00e4ngige Risikokapitalgesellschaft. W\u00e4hrend seiner Zeit bei beiden Gesellschaften gr\u00fcndete er eine Reihe erfolgreicher Gesundheitsunternehmen, die aus verschiedenen Einrichtungen des weltbekannten Texas Medical Center hervorgingen. Sutter fusionierte 1994 seine Venture-T\u00e4tigkeit mit Essex Venture Partners, gegr\u00fcndet von James Currie, zu Essex Woodlands Health Ventures. (Jetzt unter dem Namen EW Healthcare Partners bekannt.)<\/p>\n<p>Sutter war an mehr als 30 Portfolioinvestitionen von EW Healthcare Partners direkt beteiligt und sa\u00df in zahlreichen Boards von b\u00f6rsennotierten und privaten Unternehmen, darunter die neuen Portfoliounternehmen ATS Medical (von Medtronic \u00fcbernommen), BioForm Medical (von Merz GmbH \u00fcbernommen), Lifecell (von Kinetic Concepts \u00fcbernommen), St. Francis Medical (von Kyphon [Medtronic] \u00fcbernommen), Confluent Surgical (von Tyco [Covidien] \u00fcbernommen) und Rinat Neurosciences (von Pfizer \u00fcbernommen).<\/p>\n<p>Er sitzt derzeit im Board of Directors von Abomed Inc. (NASDAQ: ABMD), Prolacta Bioscience und MiMedx Group Inc.
